Mobility is diverse and our mobility portfolio is as extensive as the needs of our customers. In addition to classic services such as leasing and financing, we have developed services for urban mobility since 2009, expanded them together with partners and participated in companies in this area.
FREE NOW is Europe's leading multi-mobility platform. In addition to taxi and rental car trips, the joint venture offers products in the areas of micromobility such as eScooters, eBikes, eMopeds and carsharing. The app is currently used by over 50 million people in 16 markets and more than 152 cities. This makes FREE NOW the largest multi-service mobility provider in Europe. The company works with various third-party providers to offer its customers an even greater range of options to get from A to B. FREE NOW employs around 1,850 employees at 27 locations. By 2030, all FREE NOW drives are emission-free; FREE NOW makes this promise. With a carbon-offsetting program, i.e. with the compensation of CO 2 emissions, FREE NOW is already operating climate-neutrally.
CHARGE NOW is a brand of Digital Charging Solutions GmbH (DCS), which with universal access to charging infrastructure contributes significantly to the mobility transition towards emission-free driving. DCS develops charging solutions for automotive manufacturers and fleet operators and is thus one of the most important drivers of the transformation to electric mobility worldwide. The DCS full-service white-label charging solutions enable automotive manufacturers and fleet operators to implement their electric mobility strategies. With more than 280,000 charging points in 30 markets and international charging, DCS offers access to the fastest-growing public charging network in Europe with currently over 850 charging station operators. With CHARGE NOW for Business, DCS delivers the necessary tools for managing electrified fleets. The solution combines Europe's largest network of public charging points with the requirements of fleets and thus offers a uniform charging solution for DCS fleet customers. In the fall of 2021, in addition to the BMW Group and Mercedes-Benz Mobility, bp became the third shareholder of Digital Charging Solutions GmbH.
