That’s why sustainability is an integral component of our corporate values. As an innovative and future-oriented company, we believe that sustainable behaviour is vital and indispensable at every level, from our products to our locations and our individual actions. Thus, we also support the sustainable business strategy of Mercedes-Benz AG.
Our services promote the transformation to sustainable mobility because they make it easier to switch to electric mobility. In addition, we support mobility beyond private car ownership by offering flexible rental and subscription services and thus help to make individual mobility in cities more sustainable.
Through our Ambition2022 programme, we aim to make our locations and administrative units all over the world CO²-neutral by the end of 2022. Because we are a provider of mobility services, almost 96 percent of our CO² emissions are generated in our offices. Consequently, our locations and administrative units worldwide adhere to a policy of "Avoid. Reduce. Compensate.". In other words, we strive primarily to avoid generating emissions of any kind. If that is not possible, we aim to reduce them. Only as a last resort — if avoidance and reduction are not possible or sufficient — do we rely on offsetting measures.
We believe that sustainable behaviour also includes broadening our perspectives. As a company, we are aware of our responsibility to society, and we promote social commitment at both the local and global levels. Through cultural initiatives, donations to non-profit organisations and voluntary campaigns such as the "Green Month of Caring" we are working together to realise our vision of a sustainable company. The most important support for this vision is our employees, who put our corporate value of sustainability into action under the motto "We move green!".
