Mercedes-Benz Insurance not only insures vehicles worldwide, but also the entire Group including its employees. We offer our customers high-performance motor insurance. We are responsible for all corporate insurance policies at Mercedes-Benz Group AG, and through the Versicherungsservice (pension and insurance services) we offer coverage and additional services to all of the Group’s employees.
People who buy, finance or lease a vehicle from Mercedes-Benz Group AG may also like to have the appropriate coverage. Through our tailored motor insurance offers (e.g. vehicle insurance, warranty insurance), we provide customers in more than 40 markets with comprehensive protection and ensure that in the case of a claim their vehicles will always be repaired by experts according to the manufacturer’s specifications.
Mercedes-Benz Insurance Services manages a premium volume of more than 3.5 billion euros. Since its launch in 2016, Mercedes-Benz Versicherung AG has successfully positioned itself as a warranty insurer and already has more than 400,000 contracts in its portfolio.

We are continuing to develop our company and products further for you. Innovative telematics-based insurance solutions such as Pay-How-You-Drive is just one example. With this type of policy, customers can actively influence the amount of their insurance premium through their driving style. We offer the corresponding products in Germany, France, Belgium, the Netherlands and the UK.
We also support electric mobility with new insurance products. The new electric protection module from Mercedes-Benz Bank offers comprehensive insurance protection that makes it as easy as possible for customers to enter into or switch to CO2-neutral mobility. The module is automatically added to comprehensive insurance policies for electric and hybrid vehicles and it entails no additional cost for the customer. Among other things, it includes all-risks coverage for the battery, towing to the next charging station if the rechargeable battery has been inadvertently discharged, and coverage for the wallbox and the charging cable.
Global motor insurance provides tailored insurance solutions for end customers and dealers, such as motor insurance, warranty extension, guaranteed asset protection (GAP) insurance, purchase price protection and residual debt insurance for vehicles from Mercedes-Benz Group AG.
This unit has all of the tangible and capital assets of Mercedes-Benz Group AG under its responsibility. For this purpose, it purchases insurance coverage from primary insurers and reinsurers all over the world. The objective is to safeguard the Group against material damage and the loss of earnings that might result in such a case. As a result, Mercedes-Benz Insurance covers every Mercedes-Benz location worldwide.
As a Group-owned insurance company, Mercedes-Benz Versicherung AG insures the warranty promises of Mercedes-Benz and smart dealers for cars and vans in Germany. The extended warranty products of Mercedes-Benz Versicherung for Mercedes-Benz and smart, and provide the customers with guaranteed ease and security for up to 12 years in the form of protection against unforeseeable repair costs.
The goal of the reinsurer Mercedes-Benz Rückversicherung is to make sure that the insurance company can fulfil the financial demands of its insured customers at all times. For this reason, Mercedes-Benz Re participates in the brokered insurance coverage as an in-house reinsurer.
