“Hi, my name is Hemant. It has been more than 13 years since I started my career at Mercedes‑Benz and I am proud to be part of the company. At first, I worked in India for six years before I moved to Germany. I am currently an IT Product Owner, and I am responsible for the agile software development of web applications for a credit decision digital tool.

The digital tool we work on makes credit decision processes for our corporate customers even more efficient. Together we ensure good collaboration and support between the business and IT areas, so that they are able to analyze individual cases the best way possible.

I have been working on this project for five years now, and there has not been a single day without exciting opportunities to learn. We come together as a whole team every day, work on our tasks and make decisions to optimize our product. The teamwork is what motivates and inspires me every day.

The reason I love working here is that I am empowered to do my job independently with trust and respect from my superiors and, at the same time, I always get support whenever I need. Making my own decisions helps me to learn from both my successes as well as my failures. In other words, this is what long-life learning means to me.”
